Policy and regulation
Engaging policymakers, regulators, and governance experts on the moral and social implications of advanced AI and the need for meaningful boundaries around its development and deployment.
Engagement
The project is designed to bring research on AI and AGI into dialogue with policymakers, regulators, Church institutions, experts, and the wider public.
The aim is to create spaces where technological developments can be examined alongside questions of human dignity, responsibility, relationship, formation, work, and the common good—and where moral reflection can inform institutional and public action.
Engagement strategy
Engaging policymakers, regulators, and governance experts on the moral and social implications of advanced AI and the need for meaningful boundaries around its development and deployment.
Supporting dialogue with Church bodies, theologians, educators, and ecclesial leaders on AI, human agency, theological anthropology, and responsible technological development.
Bringing together researchers, technical experts, ethicists, philosophers, and practitioners to test assumptions, examine evidence, and refine the proposed moral red lines.
Translating complex questions around AI and AGI into accessible language that can support informed public discussion, education, media engagement, and civic participation.
Practical aim
The project is intended not only to publish ethical analysis, but to help institutions identify boundaries before problematic designs and practices become embedded.
Documented project outputs will appear here as the initiative develops.
Continuing work
The working framework will continue to evolve through research, consultation, institutional dialogue, and public engagement.
